Volunteer

Volunteer with us and help conserve Scotland's unique wildlife!

We often need advice or practical help with projects on a voluntary basis. Volunteering can develop your employability as well as having the potential for meeting lifelong friends.

Scottish Wildlife Trust (SWT) has a network of over 700 committed volunteers who are involved in everything from planting trees and repairing boardwalks to organising management groups, giving talks on wildlife, surveying flora and fauna, raising important funds and running Watch groups for young people.

Many volunteers offer their specialist skills and enthusiasm to ensure SWT runs smoothly. It's not all trees and muck! We already have volunteers who help with database management, reserve photography, marketing and administration.

How you can help

Is there an interview?

We like to meet those wishing to volunteer for an informal face-to-face chat. This means both parties can be clear on their expectations. In addition, a police check (Disclosure) will be required for anyone who will have regular contact with children or vulnerable adults.

How will I be supported?

All relevant training will be provided. We will pay for any out of pocket expenses.
